Tim Gowing
After graduating with a degree in Business from Brighton University, Tim took the obligatory year out travelling around Central and South America, before entering the world of research in 2005.
Tim started his research career within the quantitative department at rdsi. Here he developed a keen interest in new product development and strategic research through studies for clients such as Legal & General, ASDA, and 3M. After three years spent honing his number skills, he felt it was about time he got out of the office to grill some respondents face to face and joined the Intrepid team.
At Intrepid, Tim continues to enjoy unravelling the story behind the numbers, but is now jut as likely to be found up to his neck in transcripts. The work he has done at Intrepid has helped developed a particularly curiosity in customer emotions, uncovering unspoken needs and bringing clients closer to their customers. Since joining the team Tim has worked closely with HMRC, Mercedes-Benz and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Outside of work, Tim keeps himself busy with a variety of sports including mountain biking, snowboarding, kayaking and has recently found the delights (but not the money or time) of kite surfing. He also runs a local Explorer Scout unit.
