Russ Taufa
As an Account Manager on the Intrepid team, Russ is responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion and day-to-day client communication. During his education in the Business Leadership Program at the University of Puget Sound, Russ honed communication, problem-solving, and research methodology skills in a liberal arts environment. His study abroad experience in Madrid built on his foreign language skills for a Spanish minor, but also gave him a broader world view and interest in international business. While backpacking through Europe following his program, Russ got bit by the travel bug, leaving him with an insatiable desire to continue learning how other cultures operate and celebrate.
After college, Russ started out his career at Market Decisions Corporation in Portland, Oregon working on a variety of qualitative and quantitative studies, quickly transitioning from Research Analyst to Project Manager after one year. After two years at MDC, Russ relocated to Seattle and spent two more years at Ipsos specializing in the quantitative evaluation of new product concept ideas in the technology and consumer packaged goods sectors. Having gained experience at a medium-sized research company and a large global research firm, he has now landed at Intrepid to apply his skill set to custom-research consulting projects, often a mixture of qual and quant methodologies.
Outside of work, you can find Russ staying active on the tennis court, yoga studio, and dance floor. He also enjoys fine wine and spicy food, and continues on a constant quest to discover Seattle’s best happy hour hot spots. Active in the gay community, Russ enjoys volunteering, participating in equality demonstrations and pride celebrations, and fabulosity in general.
