Patrick Massey

Patrick studied French at London University, and after graduating in 1991 fulfilled a lifelong ambition to be a naval officer. After passing out from Dartmouth and spending time on the high seas, he spent a year at the Sorbonne in Paris moving back to the UK to start a career in corporate PR. While working in a number of press offices, he discovered his passion for research.

In the fifteen years since then he has worked on assignments for clients such as Microsoft, GE, AT&T, Mercedes-Benz and Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs.  He led research programmes for Clerical Medical which won the MRS Effectiveness Award for Application of Research in 2005. He has spoken at the MRS’ Business Interest Group (BIG), the Association of Online Publishers Annual Conference and most recently at the MRS Conference on the ethnography of social media and its implications for insight and innovation.

Before joining Intrepid in 2002 he was a Director at Quadrangle.

Patrick has a real passion for photography and skiing but he is happiest building furniture while listening to Jimi Hendrix. He gets back to his native France as often as he can.
