Jen Kersey

Jen Cardew Kersey is currently finishing her MS degree in applied anthropology at the University of North Texas as an online student.  Jen originally came to Intrepid as an intern with the task of enhancing their approach to virtual ethnography after being recruited to Intrepid via Twitter.com.  After just a few months at Intrepid, Jen joined the team as a full-time research assistant after discovering an unrealized love for market research- specifically technology-related projects. Jen spends a lot of her time online playing on social networks, reading blogs, doing school work, and maintaining her podcast website so virtual ethnography was a natural fit for her, but she loves offline research too and despite her training, she has even come to enjoy quantitative work as much as qualitative.

Jen loves to escape the city every now and then - her and her husband love random car rides and they both are enjoying exploring Washington State.  As an inspiring photographer, Jen has her camera with her on all of their trips and she documents their travels.  When inspired, Jen will sometimes recreate her photographs into colored pencil drawings or acrylic paintings.
